FAQ
Our tools are optimized for aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and ceramic-bonded wheels . However, please note that stationary diamond dressers are generally not used for dressing diamond or CBN wheels, as the equal hardness causes the dresser to wear out instantly without effective cutting. For CBN/Diamond wheels, we recommend our specialized dressing machines or sticks.
Chatter is often caused by lack of rigidity. Check if the tool overhang (stick-out) is excessive; it should be kept as short as possible to prevent vibration . Also, verify that you are using a drag angle pointed in the direction of wheel rotation to ensure a self-sharpening effect.
Carat weight selection primarily depends on the wheel diameter and width. As a general rule:
Wheels 200mm: 0.25 to 0.33 ct.
Wheels 300mm – 500mm: 0.50 to 0.75 ct.
Wheels 600mm: 1.0 ct or higher .
Using an undersized diamond causes rapid overheating and premature tool failure .
The sound is a vital indicator of dressing resistance. A very high-pitched or “screaming” sound usually indicates high dressing resistance or tool glazing . In such cases, you should reduce the dresser infeed speed or increase the relative speed between the wheel and the dresser to allow for a freer cut.
Yes. For high-quality single-point and forming dressers, we offer a professional resetting service. We can remove the stone, rotate it to a fresh sharp point, and remount it in a new shank. This can extend tool life by 2-3 times and reduce your long-term tooling costs by up to 60%
All products are shipped directly from our factory in Chongqing, China—the industrial hub known as the “Chicago of the East” . We offer global delivery via air express (DHL, FedEx, UPS) for urgent needs (3-7 days) and ocean freight for high-volume, heavy-duty orders to optimize your logistics costs.
Standard stock items are usually ready for immediate or same-day shipping. For custom diamond dressers built from your drawings, lead times typically range from 1 to 5 weeks depending on complexity. Expedited production (1-2 weeks) is available for critical breakdown situations.
As a factory-direct manufacturer, we are flexible. For standard items, we support small trial orders (1-5 pieces) to verify quality. For custom-engineered tools, there is generally no strict MOQ, as we encourage testing a small quantity to ensure the tool performs perfectly for your specific application before bulk ordering.
